Warning on chocolates containing metal fragments
************************************************

The Centre for Food Safety (CFS) today (November 30) advised people not to eat certain batches of "Godiva" chocolates as they might contain metal fragments.

The affected products are Christmas Milk Caramel Carre chocolate squares sold in a 16-piece Christmas Carre Gift Box, which carries product code 5000059.

"The appeal was made as the European authorities had alerted consumers not to consume the affected products. According to the local importer, the concerned products are available locally only in Godiva shops, which have suspended sale of the affected chocolates and initiated a recall," a CFS spokesman said.

"We are closely monitoring the situation," the spokesman said.
