The Government published in the Gazette today (November 30) further amendments to road works ancillary to the proposed drainage improvement works to Cheung Kong, Tai Kong Po, Tsat Sing Kong and Ha Che (Pat Heung). The proposed works were gazetted in July, 2002, and amended in June, 2006.
The proposed amendments are required to provide access to the villagers affected by the construction of the drainage channels at Cheung Kong and Ha Che under the Yuen Long, Kam Tin, Ngau Tam Mei and Tin Shui Wai drainage improvements works.
The proposed amendments include: conversion of sections of the originally proposed maintenance roads into access roads; conversion of a section of the originally proposed footpath into access road; and addition of four lockable crash gates and deletion of six originally proposed lockable crash gates.
The amendment plans and amendment scheme are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:
(i) Central and Western District Office,
Public Enquiry Service Centre, Unit 5, Ground Floor, The Center, 99 Queen's Road Central;
(ii) Yuen Long District Office,
Public Enquiry Service Centre, Yuen Long District Office Building, 269 Castle Peak Road, Yuen Long; and
(iii) District Lands Office, Yuen Long
9th - 11th Floors, Yuen Long Government Offices, 2 Kiu Lok Square, Yuen Long.
Any person who wishes to object to the proposed amendment should write to the office of the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 16th Floor, Murray Building, Garden Road not later than January 29, 2008.
