The Labour Department will stage a job fair at Sha Tin Town Hall on Friday (November 30) which will provide more than 2,800 vacancies for job-seekers.
A total of 21 companies, mainly from the retail, catering, and property management industries, will set up counters for on-the-spot recruitment. The vacancies covered a variety of positions such as shop supervisor, officer trainee, sales, waiter/waitress, kitchen assistant, shop assistant, security guard and technicians. Job seekers who want to know more about the vacancies may click to the department's website on Interactive Employment Service (www.jobs.gov.hk).
About 95% of the vacancies are full-time jobs, and a majority of them are jobs with a monthly salary ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. More than 90% of these vacancies require Form 5 educational level or below. About 70% of them are open to job seekers without relevant experience. Job-seekers can submit applications on the spot and may be selected for on-site interviews. The Labour Department will conduct on-the-spot registration for job-seekers.
The job fair will be held from 11am to 6pm at 2/F, Exhibition Gallery, Sha Tin Town Hall, 1 Yuen Wo Road, Shatin, NT. Admission is free.
