Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate a sedan chair race to be held at The Peak on Sunday (November 18).
A. Road closure and diversions
(i) Phase I (from 9am to 9.45am)
- One-way clockwise vehicular traffic flow will be implemented between No. 22 and No. 78 Mount Kellett Road.
(ii) Phase II (from 9.45am to noon)
- Mount Kellett Road will be closed;
- Plunkettˇ¦s Road, Homestead Road, Peak Road service road and Jardine Bridge will be closed if necessary; and
-Diversions on Peak Road service road, Mount Kellett Road, Homestead Road and Plunkettˇ¦s Road may be implemented if necessary.
(iii) Phase III (from 11.30am to 5pm)
- One-way clockwise vehicular traffic flow will be implemented between No. 22 and No. 78 Mount Kellett Road.
B. No parking arrangements and suspension of parking spaces
- Parking meters outside No. 100 Peak Road will be suspended from 7am to noon.
- Parking meters outside No. 14 Mount Kellett Road will be suspended from 7am to noon.
C. Jardineˇ¦s Corner will only be opened for race traffic to pass over the Jardineˇ¦s Corner Bridge from 10am until the last runner has passed.
