The Labour Department (LD)'s dedicated website--the work injury compensation case enquiry service--has started operation to provide information on the status of employees' compensation cases.
The dedicated website is www.ecd.labour.gov.hk . Injured employees and their employers can easily obtain information from the website on employees' compensation matters or check the status of their reported work injury cases, including the date on which the assessment board will consider their case and the issuance of their certificate of assessment.
In addition, injured employees can make an appointment with the department's Occupational Medicine Unit for sick leave clearance and change or cancel a previously made appointment.
Apart from the dedicated website, employers and employees can also make use of the newly set up interactive voice response telephone hotline, 2114 3300, to check the status of specific work injury cases and to book or change an appointment for sick leave clearance.
For general enquiries on employees' compensation matters, the public can use the 24-hour manned telephone hotline 2717 1771.
