Police are investigating a traffic accident in Kwai Chung this morning (October 30) in which a 77-year-old man was killed.
About 7.50am, a public light bus being driven by a 49-year-old man was traveling along Wo Yi Hop Road towards Kowloon. At the junction with Tai Loong Street, the public light bus hit the man who was crossing the road.
The man, who sustained serious head injuries, was taken to Princess Margaret Hospital where he was certified dead at 9.16pm.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South are proceeding.
