Hongkong Post announced today (October 25) that the Garden Road Post Office at G/F, Cheung Kong Centre, 2 Queen's Road Central and the Harbour Building Post Office at 1/F, Harbour Building Government Offices, 38 Pier Road will be closed down after the close of business next Wednesday (October 31). The utilisation of both offices has been low, thus incurring heavy operational losses. The area is also well served by other post offices in the vicinity. There is, therefore, no longer a business justification to keep either of the two offices open.
Customers who presently patronise the post offices may use the following post offices in Central:

Arrangements have been made for existing Post Office Box holders to take up a new box at the General Post Office or any other post offices where vacant boxes are available, or terminate the tenancy. Local Standing Order Service customers will be arranged to collect their orders at the post office they preferred.
