The Government continued to engage the public and district representatives to express views on the Policy Address, with District Offices of the Home Affairs Department holding 11 district forums tonight (October 23).
The 11 forums, warmly received by participants, gauged views of people in the districts of Sham Shui Po, Eastern, Kwun Tong, North, Sha Tin, Tai Po, Tsuen Wan, Yau Tsim Mong, Islands, Sai Kung and Kwai Tsing.
The forums were hosted by respective District Officers, with guest panellists from various sectors exchanging views with the attendees.
Participants have actively expressed their views on Policy Address initiatives concerning livelihoods, education and district facilities. Their views will be gathered by the District Offices and submitted to the Government.
The forums, aiming to gauge public views in 18 districts, have been held since mid-October. Forums will be held in the Central and Western district, Wong Tai Sin district, Kowloon City district, Southern district, Wan Chai district and Yuen Long district.
District representatives and members of the public are welcome to join. Those interested should register through the corresponding reservation hotlines during office hours. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
