"Halloween Blood Donation Night" Party at Mong Kok Blood Donor Centre

The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

     The Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service is inviting donors to attend its 'Halloween Blood Donation Night' party at the Mong Kok Blood Donor Centre from 8pm to 10pm on October 31, in their best Halloween dresses, to celebrate the spooky festival and enjoy a novel blood donation experience. The Mong Kok Blood Donor Centre will be decorated into a Halloween-themed environment with music while a bunch of grinning weird pals will welcome donors and dress them up in Halloween costumes for photo taking. There will be unlimited supply of candies and "Halloween Special Drinks". Halloween gifts have been prepared for donors to take home.

     Mong Kok Donor Centre is located on 11th Floor, Ginza Plaza, 2A Sai Yeung Choi Street South. It is the flagship centre and specially designed with entertainment facilities including large plasma TVs and wireless broadband service.

     People aged from 16-65, weight more than 41kgs (approximate 90lbs) and are healthy, are welcome to give blood. Male donors aged 18 or above can give blood every three months whereas female donors can give every four months. Youths aged between 16 and 17 can donate every six months.
