After more than a year of careful deliberation, the Consultative Committee on the Core Arts and Cultural Facilities of the West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD) has completed the task of re-confirming the need for the Core Arts and Cultural Facilities of the WKCD and the financial implications for developing and operating these facilities. The Recommendation Report has been submitted to the Chief Executive.
The Government on September 12 announced the recommendations and the launch of a three-month Public Engagement exercise to explain the recommendations to the public and gauge their views on them.
As part of the public engagement exercise, the Home Affairs Bureau is holding three public forums on Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories. The first forum was held last month. Details of the other two public forums are as follows:
