In congratulating Wing-yin Cheung, Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in San Francisco, Ms Doris Cheung said, ˇ§In her brochure, Wing-yin clearly pointed out the characteristics of Hong Kong people ˇV flexible, creative, diligent, caring and enduring that make Hong Kong a special place to live, work and play. The good choice of stories and photos helped illustrated the recent history and developments of Hong Kong in the past ten years.ˇ¨

Ms Doris Cheung was delighted to see the high quality of brochures submitted by the students. ˇ§It is encouraging to see many bright high school students devoted time during summer break to research about Hong Kong and then creatively presented their appreciation of ˇ§Hong Kong spiritˇ¨ in the brochures,ˇ¨ she added.

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region 10th Anniversary - ˇ§Hong Kong Spiritˇ¨ Brochure Design Competition was open to high school students in the 10th grade.      ˇ§Hong Kong has made a remarkable and unique journey in the last decade. We had gone through many ups and downs, but with our famous Hong Kong spirit ˇV pragmatic, responsible and determined to get things done, Hong Kong remains a vibrant, pluralistic, advanced, international city, which is full of energy and opportunities,ˇ¨ said Ms Doris Cheung. ˇ§Hong Kong has experienced a change in sovereignty ten years ago, but our core values and fundamental practices, our way of life and free market principles have all been preserved. Looking back over the past decade, Hong Kong has achieved a lot in many aspects.
