A total of 47 nominations for the 2007 District Council election were received by Returning Officers of the 18 districts today (October 9).
This brings to 709 the total number of nominations since the nomination period started on October 2. Nominations will close on October 15.
A spokesman for the Registration and Electoral Office (REO) reminded prospective candidates to submit their nominations as early as possible so that they will have time to rectify any mistakes in their entries before the deadline.
