Approved Kwun Tong (South) Outline Zoning Plan amended

    The Town Planning Board today (October 5) announced amendments to the approved Kwun Tong (South) Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).

     The draft Urban Renewal Authority Kwun Tong Town Centre - Main Site Development Scheme Plan (DSP) No. S/K14S/URA1/1 and the draft Urban Renewal Authority Kwun Tong Town Centre - Yuet Wah Street Site DSP No. S/K14S/URA2/1 have replaced the Kwun Tong (South) OZP relating to the areas delineated and described in the two DSPs on the OZP.

     The OZP amendments mainly involve rezoning of three strips of land along Kwun Tong Road and Hong Ning Road from ¡§Commercial¡¨, ¡§Residential (Group A)¡¨ (¡§R(A)¡¨) and ¡§Open Space¡¨ to ¡¥Road¡¦ to tie-in with the DSPs¡¦ boundaries, and rezoning of two sites abutting Hing Tin Street from ¡§R(A)¡¨ to ¡§Government, Institution or Community¡¨ to reflect the two existing primary schools on sites.  

     The draft Kwun Tong (South) OZP No. S/K14S/15 incorporating the amendments is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters in the North Point and Sha Tin Government Offices, the Kowloon District Planning Office and the Kwun Tong District Office.

     Any person can make written representations in respect of the amendments to the secretary of the board on or before December 5.  Representations made to the board will be made available for public inspection.

     Copies of the draft OZP are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei.  The electronic version of the OZP can be viewed at the board¡¦s website at http://www.info.gov.hk/tpb.
