The Highways Department today (September 28) invited tenders for retrofitting of noise barriers on Tsing Tsuen Bridge at the Tsing Yi and Tsuen Wan approaches.
Under the invitation to tender gazetted today, the works mainly comprise the retrofitting of approximately 1,500-metre noise barriers on Tsing Tsuen Bridge at Tsing Yi and Tsuen Wan approaches; associated roads and drainage, geotechnical, street lighting and landscaping works as well as implementation of environmental monitoring and audit programme.
The works are expected to begin in December and will take about 42 months (including 12 months establishment period for landscaping works) to complete.
The works have been designed and construction will be supervised by OVE ARUP & Partners Hong Kong Limited, which is appointed by the major works project management office of Highways Department.
