The Youth Work Experience and Training Scheme (YWETS) of the Labour Department and the Hong Kong Confederation of Trade Unions will hold a job fair for youths at Kwai Tsing Theatre, Kwai Fong, tomorrow (September 28).
The job fair will provide more than 1,200 vacancies for young job-seekers, covering such positions as clerk, sales, customer services officer and shop supervisor, with a monthly salary ranging from $6,500 to $10,000.
Fourteen companies, mainly from the retail, catering and property management sectors, will set up recruitment booths at the venue for receiving job applications and conducting on-site interviews. Registered social workers will also be available for providing career counselling and consultation service on the spot.
The job fair will be held from 11am to 5pm at Kwai Tsing Theatre in Kwai Fong (next to Kwai Fong MTR Station). Admission is free. For details of the job fair, please browse the YWETS website: http://www.ywets.labour.gov.hk.
The YWETS and the Youth Pre-employment Training Programme of the department provide a full range of pre-employment training and placement assistance to young people aged 15 to 24 with educational attainment below the degree level. Joint application of the two programmes is under way. Interested young people can submit applications through the counter of YWETS at the venue.
