Site on Lantau Island triggered for auction on October 15

    The Lands Department announced today (September 18) that a site in Cheung Sha, Lantau Island, Lot No 245 in Demarcation District No 331, had been successfully triggered for sale under the Application List System.

     The lot will be offered for sale together with Aberdeen Inland Lot No 451 at Welfare Road, Aberdeen. at this financial year's sixth Government land auction on October 15 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.

     A Lands Department spokesman said the Government had accepted the applicant's minimum guaranteed bid of $200 million for the lot.  This will be the opening bid at the auction subject to the reserve price of the lot.

     Lot No 245 in Demarcation District No 331 has a site area of about 16,587 square metres and is designated for private residential purposes.  A minimum gross floor area of 3,981 square metres must be completed.

     The final Conditions of Sale for the lot will be available for distribution and uploaded onto the Lands Department's website (http://www.landsd.gov.hk) by October 5 when the particulars of the land auction will also be gazetted.
