LD's response in bar-bending dispute

In response to media enquiries, the Labour Department gave the following reply today (September 10):
Under the continuous mediation of the Labour Department, the Hong Kong Bar-bending Contractors Association and the Hong Kong Construction Industry Bar-bending Workers Union will meet today (September 10) over the adjustment of the reference wage rate for bar-bending workers.
The two sides hope to have a better understanding of the other party's stance through constructive dialogue. The Labour Department hopes the discussion today will help pave the way for another conciliation meeting.
