The Secretary for Transport and Housing, Ms Eva Cheng, today (September 6) begins a two-day visit to Beijing during which she will call on various Mainland departments and organisations responsible for transportation matters. She will exchange views with Mainland officials on issues relating to transport, aviation and transport infrastructure.
This is Ms Cheng's first visit to Beijing since she took up the post of the Secretary for Transport and Housing in July. During her stay in Beijing, she will visit the National Development and Reform Commission; Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council; General Administration of Civil Aviation; Ministry of Communications and Ministry of Railways.
Accompanying Ms Cheng to Beijing are the acting Permanent Secretary for Transport and Housing (Transport), Mr Philip Yung and Deputy Secretary for Transport and Housing (Transport), Mr Esmond Lee.
