SCMA gathers views on Green Paper (with photo)

    The Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Stephen Lam, attended a luncheon and two forums today (August 31) to listen to views of different sectors on the Green Paper on Constitutional Development as part of the public consultation.
     
     During a luncheon with the Employers' Federation of Hong Kong, and forums organised by the Hong Kong Chinese Reform Association and the Federation of Hong Kong and Kowloon Labour Unions, Mr Lam briefed the participants on the Green Paper. He outlined the key issues set out in the document and explained the principles and requirements involved in attaining the ultimate aim of universal suffrage as stipulated in the Basic Law.

     Mr Lam called on the public to continue to attach importance to the issue. He will continue to meet with the public and different sectors to gather views on the Green Paper.
