Appointments to Curriculum Development Council

    The Government today (August 31) announced the appointment of Professor Ko Inq-ming, Edmond as the Chairperson of the Curriculum Development Council for a term of two years from tomorrow (September 1).

     Also appointed to the council as new members are Professor Chow Kwok-ching, Professor Mary Elizabeth James, Mr Lai Kam-tong, Ms Stella Lee Wai-fun, Professor Lee Wing-on, Ms Mak Wai-ching, Dr Siu Wing-hon, Ms Wong Lam and Mr Yiu Sai-ming.

     In addition, nine serving members, Mrs Chan Tsang Kin-lok, Mr Jao Ming, Mr Patrick Lai Shu-ho, Professor Albert Lee, Dr Leung Sai-wing, Dr Lo Kin-ki, Ms Tsang Chi-hung, Mr Yau Chung-wan and Ms Yung Heung-hung have been re-appointed.

     The Secretary for Education, Mr Michael Suen, thanked the outgoing chairman and members for their contributions to the council. They are Professor Wong Yuk-shan, the chairman, Dr David Bunton, Mr Alex Cheung Chi-hung, Mr Joseph Lee, Dr Lee Kar-tin, Mr Ng Hok-ling, Mrs Pang Cheung Yee-fan and Ms Tsui Kwai-king.

     The council advises the Government on all matters relating to curriculum development for the local school system from kindergarten to senior secondary education.

     All appointments are for a period of two years with effect from tomorrow. The full list of membership is as follows:
