The Secretary for Security, Mr Ambrose S K Lee, will leave Hong Kong tomorrow (August 23) for a duty visit to Beijing, Jilin and Guangdong.
While in Beijing, Mr Lee will meet officials from the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the State Council's Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He will also visit the Security Department of the Beijing Organising Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad.
Mr Lee will then fly to Yanji City of Jilin Province on August 28. He will meet officials of the Public Security Bureau of Jilin Province and visit the border control facilities at Hunchun City and Fangchuan.
On August 31, Mr Lee will fly to Guangzhou where he will meet public security officials of Guangdong and Shenzhen before returning to Hong Kong on September 1.
