A spokesman for the Education Bureau said today (August 17) that the bureau had invited the University Grants Committee to consider in detail the development blueprint put forward by the Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIEd) and to offer its expert advice.
"The grants committee's advice is most valuable as HKIEd is one of the institutions funded by the committee and the institute's future development is closely related to the overall strategic development of the committee-funded sector," he said.
"We have an open mind on the proposals in the development blueprint, and look forward to receiving the grants committee's expert advice on the relevant issues."
