"Upon the commissioning of the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line Control Point, passengers will be able to travel to and from Mainland through this new control point by using different kinds of public transport services. Apart from the East Rail Lok Ma Chau Spur Line, passengers can also travel to the public transport interchange next to the Lok Ma Chau Terminus by franchised bus, green minibus and taxi, and cross the boundary through the new control point," a Government spokesman said today (August 8).

Authorities of the Shenzhen and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will review the operating condition and passenger flow three months after the opening of the control point to assess when to extend the operating hours of the control point to midnight.

To ensure that passengers will be able to make the crossing within the daily operating hours of the Lok Ma Chau Control Point between 6.30am and 10.30pm, the first franchised bus and green minibus will depart from West Rail Yuen Long Station Public Transport Interchange and Yuen Long (Fook Hong Street) respectively at 6.15am. The last franchised bus and green minibus will depart from Lok Ma Chau Spur Line Public Transport Interchange at 10.55pm.
