Pictured is a pig-shaped lacquered box for wine vessel of the Warring States Period (475-221 BC) excavated from Tianxingguan at Jingzhou in Hubei Province. The wine vessel box was made by a carving and hollowing-out technique. The inside of the cover and the body are hollowed out while the shape is made by carving.
