The Government today (July 14) reminded people that it had launched final phase of its five-day week scheme on July 1. Those offices that had moved to the new work pattern would not open this morning.
As departments' work schedules may vary, people are advised to check with the 24-hour Citizen's Easy Link 1823 or look up the dedicated website at www.gov.hk/info/5day before visiting Government offices today.
A government spokesman said that service units joining a five-day week since July 1 this year included the Land Registry, Social Welfare Department's Social Security Field Units, Department of Health's tuberculosis and chest and social hygiene services, and some offices of the Hong Kong Police Force.
