Police are investigating a murder and suicide case in which a six-year-old girl and a 34-year-old man died in Pok Hong Estate today (July 8).
The case occurred shortly before 12.30 am. Police received a report that a man and a girl were fallen from height and lying unconscious on the floor between Pok Yue House and Pok Wah House.
The girl was certified dead at scene while the man was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital where he was also certified dead at 1.17 am.
It was suspected that the man threw his six-year-old daughter out of the building before leaping to his own death.
Post-mortem examinations on the deceased will be conducted later to ascertain their cause of death.
District Crime Squad, Shatin are now investigating the case.
