Hongkong Post today (June 28) announced that all post offices (excluding mobile post offices) would open on July 1 (HKSAR Establishment Day) from 9am to 1pm for the issuing of special stamps to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Establishment of the HKSAR. The General Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui and Airport Post Offices will maintain their Sunday operating hours on that day : General Post Office from 9am to 5pm, Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office from 9am to 2pm and Airport Post Office from 8am to 5pm. One mail collection will be arranged on that day for all counter offices' posting boxes and street posting boxes except those in remote areas.

There will be no mail delivery on July 1 or July 2 (the day following HKSAR Establishment Day). All post offices except General Post Office and Airport Post Office will be closed on July 2. The business hours of the two offices will be from 9am to 5pm and 8am to 5pm, respectively. One mail collection will be arranged on that day for all street posting boxes except those on outlying islands and in remote areas.
