Tin Shui Sports Centre to open tomorrow (with photos)

    Tin Shui Sports Centre will be open for public use tomorrow (June 24), giving residents in the Tin Shui Wai area a new venue for leisure activities and exercise.

     Tin Shui Sports Centre is located at 7 Tin Shui Road, Tin Shui Wai.

     A series of new facilities, including an arena, a secondary arena, a children's playroom and two multi-purpose activity rooms, will be provided in the sports centre.

     The arena can be used as two basketball courts, two volleyball courts or eight badminton courts. It has a spectator stand of 498 seats which is ideal for holding sports events and competitions.

     Other facilities include the secondary arena which can be used as three badminton courts, a children's play room and two multi-purpose activity rooms. Different activities such as tai chi, yoga and judo can be held in the two multi-purpose activity rooms.

     Tin Shui Sports Centre will open from 7am to 11pm daily. On the second and fourth Tuesday each month, the sports centre will be closed from 7am to 1pm for venue maintenance.

     Other major sports and recreational facilities in the Yuen Long District include Fung Kam Street Sports Centre, Long Ping Sports Centre and Tin Shui Wai Sports Centre.
