Disciplined Services joint exhibition to celebrate anniversary

    A Disciplined Services joint exhibition to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) will be held on Saturday and Sunday (June 9 and 10) at the Piazza Areas of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon.

     Organised by the Security Bureau in conjunction with the Hong Kong Police Force, the Immigration Department, the Customs and Excise Department, the Fire Services Department, the Correctional Services Department, the Government Flying Service, the Civil Aid Service and the Auxiliary Medical Service, the exhibition will be open to the public from 11am to 5pm on both days.

     A government spokesman said that through the exhibition, people would better understand the work and services of the disciplined services, their commitment to provide quality service to the people of Hong Kong and their contributions to maintaining the security and prosperity of the HKSAR.

     An opening ceremony, led by the Secretary for Security, Mr Ambrose Lee, and the heads of the eight disciplined services, will be held on Saturday at 10.30am.

     "The exhibition will be a showcase of the achievements by the disciplined services in the past decade. There will be special equipment displays, rescue demonstrations and live performances," the spokesman said.

     The exhibition is free and people are invited to participate in the event to celebrate and share the joy with the disciplined services.
