The following is issued on behalf of the Commission of Inquiry on Allegations relating to The Hong Kong Institute of Education:
The Commission of Inquiry on Allegations relating to the Hong Kong Institute of Education will submit a report on its findings and conclusions to the Chief Executive on or before June 20, upon approval of a short extension of time by the Chief Executive in Council today (June 5).
The short extension of time is needed, given that the hearing of oral submissions from counsel for the Commission and the parties, which starts today, is scheduled for completion tomorrow.
The hearing will be held at the hearing room on the 38th floor, Immigration Tower, 7 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai.
