The hotline set up by the Department of Health on the suspected mercury poisoning case relating to a powdered product called "陳標記小兒疳積散" has received 15 calls from the public.
A department spokesman said today (June 4) that two boys and two girls aged from 15 months to 9 years were reported to have consumed the product concerned. All had been contacted and given health advice by the department which will follow up on the cases.
The spokesman said that the hotline 2125 1133 would continue to provide health advice to the public from 9am to 5pm tomorrow.
An appeal was made by on June 2 urging people to stop using the product concerned following a report of suspected mercury poisoning involving a 11-month-old boy who had taken the product.
