China Philharmonic Orchestra plays with four young musicians
************************************************************

China Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Yu Long, will coordinate with renowned pianists, Lang Lang and Colleen Lee, cellist Trey Lee as well as violinist Li Chuanyun to bring two concerts in July.

The concerts, with the theme of "Hero", will now present Guo Wenjing's "The Heroic Symphony" and Yin Chengzong, Liu Zhang, Chu Wanghua and Shen Lihong's "Yellow River Piano Concerto" played with Lang Lang on July 2; Richard Strauss's "Ein Heldenleben" and Beethoven's "Triple Concerto" with Colleen Lee, Trey Lee and Li Chuanyun on July 3.

The China Philharmonic Orchestra was established as a national level orchestra. It toured around the world and collaborated with many renowned musicians including Krzysztof Penderecki, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Okko Kamu, Itzhak Perlman and Mischa Maisky.

Conductor Yu Long is the founder and Artistic Director of the China Philharmonic Orchestra. Yu took the orchestra for a world tour to 22 cities in 40 days and were highly acclaimed as "New era of Chinese Symphonic History" and "being the proud of Chinese people" in the New York Times, the Times in London, and the Frankfuter Allgemeine Zeitung.

Lang Lang is the first Chinese pianist to be engaged by the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Philharmonic and other top orchestras. With the talent matched by his ebullient personality, Lang is considered as a leading figure in world piano music after Horowitz and Rubenstein.

Pianist Colleen Lee received the First Prize at the Third Seiler International Piano Competition in Kitzingen, Germany and Dorothy Mackenzie Artist Recognition Award. Colleen has collaborated with renowned orchestras including the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra and the Queensland Philharmonic Orchestra.

Cellist Trey Lee won the 2004 International Antonio Janigro Cello Competition. Finland's Helsingin Sanomat praised Trey with "great talent of understanding the language of modern music" in his bold interpretation of Lutoslawski Concerto with Finnish Radio Symphony.

Violinist Li Chuanyun has coordinated with the Rotterdam Philharmonic with Valery Gergiev, Detroit Symphony with Neemi J?rvi and Colorado Festival Orchestra with Michael Christie.
Violinist Ruggiero Ricci concluded Li was "a great violinist" with all the requisites and capability.
