A Symphony of Lights enhanced with rooftop pyrotechnic displays on both sides of Victoria Harbour
*******************************************************

The Tourism Commission today (April 26) announced that "A Symphony of Lights" would, for the first time, be enhanced with rooftop pyrotechnic displays on both sides of the Victoria Harbour on May 1 and 5 (Tuesday and Saturday) to complement the coming Labour Day Golden Week.

Rooftop pyrotechnic displays were previously only displayed on Hong Kong Island.  The two displays to be staged during the Labour Day Golden Week will be extended to cover buildings on Kowloon side.  The best vantage points for viewing "A Symphony of Lights" include the promenade at Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai, as well as Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront from the Avenue of Stars to the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.  Public address systems have been set up at these  vantage points to broadcast the synchronised soundtrack during show time.

Starting from May 1, Standard Chartered Bank Building and Bank of America Tower on Hong Kong Island as well as Harbour City and Oterprise Square in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon will join "A Symphony of Lights", further enriching the content of the "World's Largest Permanent Light and Sound Show" in the Guinness World Records.

Apart from on-site broadcast of the soundtrack, spectators may also listen to the synchronised soundtrack via radio by tuning in to FM 103.4 MHz (English), FM 106.8 MHz (Cantonese) or FM 107.9 MHz (Putonghua); or via their mobile phones by dialing 35665665 (English) or 35665668 (Putonghua).

For enquiries on "A Symphony of Lights", please call the Tourism Commission at 28102555 or 28102770 during office hours or the Hong Kong Tourism Board's Visitor Hotline at 25081234 from 8am to 6pm daily.  The public may also visit the following website for information on the show: http://www.tourism.gov.hk/symphony or http://www.discoverhongkong.com.
