Running from today (March 23) until January 8, 2008 at the Hong Kong Museum of Art, "The Chater Legacy -- A Selection of the Chater Collection" exhibition features 46 works including oil paintings, watercolours, sketches, prints and photographs. These works not only display the landscape of the South China trading ports in the 18th and 19th centuries, and British activities in China but also their legendary stories. Pictured is one of the exhibits, "Anson's Bay from within the Bocca Tigris", a coloured aquatint made in c.1750-1828.
