Nomination for CE election ruled invalid

A nomination form for the Chief Executive election was handed in today (February 26) by Mr Chan Yuet Tung.
The Returning Officer, Mr Justice Barnabas Fung Wah, ruled that the nomination was invalid, the reason being that it was not made by not less than 100 members of the Election Committee, contrary to Section 16(2)(a) of the Chief Executive Election Ordinance.
