Hotel group shows strong confidence in HK tourism market
********************************************************

North American-based Rhombus International Hotels Group has shown strong confidence in the Hong Kong tourism market. The group opened a new deluxe boutique hotel, Hotel LKF, in June 2006, and will open its second hotel, Hotel Panorama, in 2007.

Together the opening of these two new hotels will create over 600 different jobs within Hong Kong.  Founder and CEO of Rhombus International Hotels Group, Mr Calvin Mak, said, "We are optimistic about the long-term development of Hong Kong's tourism market.  This combined with the positive response received by Hotel LKF since its opening last summer has further boosted our confidence in Hong Kong.  Since its opening in June 2006, Hotel LKF's occupancy rate has exceeded 90%."

Located in the heart of Central, Hotel LKF is a luxury boutique hotel consisting of 95 rooms and suites ranging from 500 to 950 square feet in size.  Most recently, the hotel was awarded first prize in the hotel section at the 2006 Asia Pacific Interior Design Awards (APIDA 2006).

The group's second hotel in Hong Kong, Hotel Panorama, is scheduled to open in 2007 with 324-rooms in Tsimshatsui overlooking Victoria Harbour.  Mr Mak said, "Hong Kong will serve as our anchor in Asia as our group actively looks at expansion into the Mainland market with the addition of more hotels in key cities to our portfolio."

"As the management company for both Hotel LKF and Hotel Panorama, we, at Rhombus International Hotels Group are confident that we will contribute to the tourism sector by bringing over 25 years of international experience and know-how to set another level of hospitality standard and excellence in Hong Kong."

The Director-General of Investment Promotion at Invest Hong Kong, Mr Mike Rowse, said, "We are delighted to see the vote of confidence by Rhombus in Hong Kong. The addition of the new hotels to Hong Kong will clearly benefit our local economy by creating new jobs and bringing their quality standards and expertise.  At the same time, the luxury boutique hotel services offered at Hotel LKF enrich the variety of attractive hospitality choices available for tourists coming into Hong Kong."

"We at Invest Hong Kong wish Rhombus every success in Hong Kong and in the region."
