Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 12-year-old boy was killed in Yuen Long this morning (January 31).
Shortly before 8 am, a heavy goods vehicle driven by a 43-year-old was travelling an unnamed road near Fairview Park. While making a left turn into Fairview Park Boulevard towards Fairview Park roundabout, it reportedly knocked down a 12-year-old boy who was cycling along Fairview Park Boulevard towards Fairview Park.
Sustaining serious head injury, the boy was certified dead by ambulancemen at the scene.
Investigations by Special Investigation Team of Traffic New Territories North are proceeding.
