Exhibition of Secondary School Students' Creative Visual Arts Work (2006-07)(with photo)

    Members of the public are invited to visit the "Exhibition of Secondary School Students' Creative Visual Arts Work (2006-07)" held by the Arts Education Section of the Curriculum Development Institute, Education and Manpower Bureau (EMB) from today (January 17) to February 24, 2007 at EMB Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre.

     The exhibition provides an opportunity for students to demonstrate their creativity and artistic ability in visual arts creations, and promotes educational communication among students, teachers and the public.

     This year, more than 500 pieces of artwork are on display. These exhibits have been selected from about 1,500 entries submitted by 150 secondary schools. The artwork covers different topics, and a wide range of art forms and media such as drawing, painting, printmaking, computer graphics, photography, sculpture, ceramics and different types of design.

     Also on display are some 100 pieces of examination scripts, including drawing, painting and graphic design, from the subject of Visual Arts of the 2006 Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination.

     Apart from the artwork, video recordings of interviews of secondary school students are being shown at the exhibition. The students share how their creativity has been enriched by their daily lives.

     Admission to this exhibition is free.
