The Town Planning Board today (January 5) announced amendments to the approved Yuen Long Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).
The main amendments involve rezoning all sites zoned "Commercial/Residential" along both sides of Castle Peak Road, Yuen Long to "Residential (Group A)" zone, revising the Notes for various development zones by specifying the maximum plot ratio/gross floor area and building height restrictions, revising the Notes for the "Other Specified Uses" annotated "Industrial Estate" by including 'Asphalt Plant/Concrete Batching Plant' in Column 2, and revising the Notes for the "Residential (Group E)" and "Other Specified Uses" annotated "Business" in accordance with the revised Master Schedule of Notes to Statutory Plan endorsed by the Board.
The draft Yuen Long OZP No. S/YL/16, incorporating the amendments, is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters in North Point and Sha Tin, the Tuen Mun and Yuen Long District Planning Office, the Yuen Long District Office, the Shap Pat Heung Rural Committee and the Ping Shan District Rural Committee.
Any person can make representation in respect of the amendments in writing to the Secretary of the Board on or before March 5, 2007. Representations made to the Board will be available for public inspection.
Copies of the draft plan are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the plan can be viewed at the Board's website at http://www.info.gov.hk/tpb/.
