A Government site at The Peak was sold this afternoon (December 19) for $1,800 million at a public land auction held by the Lands Department.
A department spokesman said it was the fourth land auction of the current financial year.
The lot, Rural Building Lot No. 1159 at No. 12 Mount Kellett Road, The Peak, with a site area of about 7,353 square metres was sold to Kintech Investment Limited. The opening bid was $768 million. The site is designated for private residential purpose.
The auction was conducted at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Tsim Sha Tsui, by Assistance Director of Lands Mr Chris Mills, assisted by Chief Estate Surveyor Ms Anita Lam.
