CE mourns the passing of Mr T.S. Lo

    The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, was saddened to learn of the passing of Mr T.S. Lo yesterday evening (December 11).  

     A former president of the Law Society of Hong Kong, Mr Lo had conducted a distinguished career in law, business, publishing and public services. He had contributed to Hong Kong's smooth reunification with the motherland in his various capacities as a member of the Preparatory Committee of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, a Vice Chairman of the Basic Law Consultative Committee, and a Hong Kong Affairs Adviser.  

     He was a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and had served as a member of both the Executive and Legislative Councils before the reunification. He was awarded the Grand Bauhinia Medal (GBM) in 1997.

     "On behalf of the HKSAR Government, I would like to extend my deepest condolences to Mr Lo's family," Mr Tsang said.
