Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Sham Shui Po

    Police today (December 3) appealed to the public to provide information on a traffic accident in which a woman was injured in Sham Shui Po on December 1 and was certified dead on December 2.

     At about 9.20pm on December 1, a taxi was reportedly travelling along southeast bound Tai Nan Street. When the taxi reached the junction with Shek Kip Mei Street, the taxi suspectedly knocked down a 71-year-old woman. The taxi driver did not make any report to the Police after the accident and fled away.

     After the impact, the woman sustained head injuries and was sent to Caritas Medical Centre for treatment. She was certified dead at 11.07am on December 2.

     Investigations will be taken over by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West.
