Swiss piano ensemble to stage a musical feast at Christmas
**********************************************************

Switzerland's Piano Seven will show Christmas in a whole new light with its performance on Christmas Day.

Featuring innovative music with piano, percussion and violin, as well as dramatic lighting effects, "Magical Christmas with Piano Seven", will be staged at 8pm on Monday (December 25) at the Concert Hall, Hong Kong Cultural Centre.

Piano Seven, an ensemble of seven pianists and one percussionist, was established in 1987. It has performed with great success in numerous opera houses and classical halls in Switzerland, France, Belgium, Egypt, Thailand, Singapore and China.

Every member has received training in classical music and furthered their studies in Jazz music. The ensemble performs concerts with supplementary jazz elements in three main streams of music including pop piano music, classical music and the group's original compositions. Their original compositions are influenced by jazz and classical aesthetics evoking echoes of romantic, classic and modern European composers, elements of contemporary jazz and influences of tango and circus music.

Tickets priced at $120, $160, $220 and $300 are now available at URBTIX outlets, while senior citizens, people with disabilities, full-time students and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance recipients may have 50% off (limited quotas for CSSA recipients on a first-come, first-served basis).
