Auction for Victoria Park Lunar New Year Fair stalls ends

   The two-day auction for the Victoria Park Lunar New Year Fair was conducted smoothly. A total revenue of $10,110,050 was brought, compared with $7,247,840 last year.

     All the 483 stalls at the Fair, including 300 for dry goods, 180 for wet goods and three for fast food were successfully let out during the two-day open auction at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium.

     The second day auction for the 300 dry goods stalls was held today (November 14) with all the stalls let out. Today's auction attracted around 3,000 participants. The successful bid prices for the stalls ranged from $16,500 to $50,000, with an average price at $22,440, which is about three times of the opening price at $7,300.

     Auction of stalls for Lunar New Year Fairs in Kowloon and the New Territories will start tomorrow and next Wednesday (November 22) respectively.
