The Lands Department announced today (October 24) that a second residential site, Sha Tin Town Lot No. 548 in Area 77, Ma On Shan, had been successfully triggered for sale this month under the Application List System.
The lot will be offered for sale together with New Kowloon Inland Lot No. 6374 at 1 Broadcast Drive at this year's third Government land auction to be held in the afternoon of November 28, 2006 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
A Lands Department spokesman said the Government had accepted the applicant's minimum guaranteed bid of $2.4 billion for the lot. This will be the opening bid at the auction.
The lot has a site area of about 16,440 square metres and a minimum gross floor area of 49,320 square metres must be completed. The site is designated for private residential purposes.
The final Conditions of Sale for the lot will be available for distribution and uploaded to the Lands Department's website (http://www.landsd.gov.hk) by November 10, 2006 when particulars of the land auction will also be gazetted.
