The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, will deliver his 2006 Policy Address outlining the Government's policy direction for the coming year in the Legislative Council at 11am on Wednesday (October 11).
The speech will be broadcast live on TVB-Jade, TVB-Pearl, TVB News 2 (TVBN2), ATV-Home, ATV-World, now TV-now Business News Channel, Cable TV-Live News Channel, Infonews of Phoenix TV as well as Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) radio channels 1, 3, 5, Putonghua channel and RTHK On-line, Commercial Radio AM864, Metro Finance FM104 and HK Broadband Network-Live Information Channel.
The Chief Executive will hold a press conference at 3pm to explain his policy initiatives in detail. The press conference will be broadcast live on TVB-Jade, TVB-Pearl, TVBN2, ATV-Home, ATV-World, now TV-now Business News Channel, Cable TV-Live News Channel, RTHK-1, RTHK-3 and RTHK On-line.
The public can watch the live broadcast of the Chief Executive delivering his Policy Address and his subsequent press conference with a simple click into the Policy Address webpage (www.policyaddress.gov.hk).
They can also access the Internet version of the Policy Address on the Policy Address webpage through the 200 Community Cyber Points at 81 locations in various districts. The opening hours of these community cyber points vary. The exact opening hours are available on the homepage of the Home Affairs Department.
