Judicial appointment

The following is issued on behalf of the Judiciary:

The Judiciary today (September 29) announced the appointment of Mr Don So Man-lung as Permanent Magistrate. His appointment will take effect from October 3, 2006.

The biographical note of the newly appointed Permanent Magistrate is as follows:

Mr Don So Man-lung

Mr So was born in Hong Kong in 1968. He obtained an LL.B., P.C.LL and LL.M. from the University of Hong Kong in 1991, 1992 and 1996 respectively. He was called to the Hong Kong Bar in 1992. He has been in private practice since 1993.
