There will be no mail delivery during the coming public holidays on October 2 (Monday, the day following National Day) and October 7 (Saturday, the day following Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival). All post offices will be closed.
The Assistant Postmaster General (Postal), Mr Michael Chung Man-kit, said however that one mail collection would be arranged for all post boxes except those located on outlying islands and in remote areas on October 2 & 8. There would be no mail collection from posting boxes on October 1 and 7.
Mr Chung added that on Sundays, October 1 and 8, the General Post Office, the Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office and the Airport Post Office would open for business under the usual Sunday service arrangements from 9am to 2pm.
