Draft URA Yu Lok Lane/Centre Street DSP amended
***********************************************

The Town Planning Board (the Board) today (September 8) announced a proposed amendment to the draft Urban Renewal Authority Yu Lok Lane/Centre Street Development Scheme Plan (DSP).

The proposed amendment is made to take forward the decision of the Board to meet/partially meet two representations on the draft DSP.

The proposed amendment involves a revision to the boundary of the DSP to include Tsung Tsin Mansion at 84-94 Third Street. This inclusion, involving an area of about 340 square metres, would allow a more comprehensive development and greater flexibility in designing the development including provision of public open space.

A plan showing the proposed amendment is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters of the Planning Department in North Point and Sha Tin, the Hong Kong District Planning Office, and the Public Enquiry Service Centre of the Central & Western District Office.

Any person, other than that who has made any representation or comment on the draft DSP after the consideration of which the amendment is proposed, may make further representation in respect of the proposed amendment. A further representation should be made in writing to the Secretary of the Board, 15th Floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, Hong Kong on or before September 29, 2006.

Copies of the draft DSP together with amendment plan are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei.  The electronic version of both plans is viewable from the Board's website at http://www.info.gov.hk/tpb.
