Lands Department accepts termination of Kwun Yam Shan tenancy

    On a case about alleged change of land use by the tenant of a site under short-term tenancy in Kwun Yam Shan, Sha Tin, the Lands Department has received notification today (August 9) from the tenant that he has decided to terminate the tenancy voluntarily. The Lands Department has accepted his decision.

     The tenancy will be terminated on August 16, 2006. The tenant has promised to demolish the structures on the site and carry out reinstatement works in accordance with the provisions of the short-term tenancy.

     The site will be retained as "Green Belt" after the land reverts to the Lands Department.
